The ThermTec Cyclops 325 V2 features a powerful 12µm VOx sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels and a NETD value of ≤40mk. The highly sensitive sensor delivers an especially detailed and sharp image, which can be comfortably and pleasantly viewed by the human eye on the high-contrast 1024x768 pixel OLED display.
With the help of the powerful detector, heat sources can still be perceived at great distances. Wildlife can be detected up to about 1300m away and recognized up to a distance of 627m. Thanks to the low NETD value and 3D noise reduction, the Cyclops 325 V2 delivers very good and high-contrast images even in adverse weather conditions such as fog, rain or high humidity. Even in warm temperatures in the summer, even small temperature differences between the heat object and the environment are resolved cleanly by the sensitive sensor.
The built-in sensor is extremely power-saving and allows for a battery life of up to 12 hours. The device's screen can also be switched to standby mode. The device is conveniently charged via the USB-C charging cable with the power adapter or on the go in the car or with a power bank.
In addition to the usual image settings such as sensor brightness and contrast, the Cyclops also offers settings for sharpness and image noise, which can be adjusted in 10 steps. In addition, the display brightness can be set in 5 steps, and a backlight color (gray, blue, or purple) can be selected as desired.
The camera offers extensive and innovative functions that have never been seen before in this form. The Cyclops offers AI distance measurement, with distances of up to six objects estimated simultaneously. In addition to distance measurement, AI based on the deep learning algorithm can also simultaneously recognize and identify animals and humans. The diverse functions can be easily and intuitively controlled via a joystick with tilt movements.
The ThermTec Cyclops 325 V2 can record both images and videos and archive them on the built-in 16GB memory. Thanks to the built-in WiFi module, which allows for four connections simultaneously, the recordings can also be wirelessly transferred to a smartphone via an app. In addition, the device has an AI notification feature that automatically sends a message to your mobile device via an app as soon as the camera detects a thermal image object.
